High-speed BOPP biaxial stretching extrusion lines are pivotal for mass-producing thin, high-quality films, yet pressure fluctuations and gauge variations often plague production, especially when manufacturing ultra-thin films. To tackle these issues, our team focused on integrating Hei'ko melt pumps, with Batte melt pumps serving as the critical link between the extruder and T-die to optimize process stability and output efficiency.

Before the upgrade, high-speed operation (exceeding 400 m/min) led to severe pressure surges from the extruder, causing gauge variations of up to 7% in ultra-thin BOPP films and increasing raw material waste by 15%. Batte melt pumps were strategically installed at the key pulse point—between the extruder and T-die—acting as a precise volumetric metering component. These pumps effectively dampened pressure fluctuations, ensuring a steady, uniform flow of molten polymer to the T-die even under extreme mechanical stress.
Post-integration, the improvements were significant: gauge variations were reduced to below 1.5%, meeting the strict standards for ultra-thin film production. The melt pumps’ robust structural design sustained stable operation at speeds up to 480 m/min, boosting overall throughput by 22%. Raw material waste was cut by 18% globally, and film defects like uneven stretching and pinholes were nearly eliminated, enhancing product consistency.

In conclusion, integrating Hei'ko melt pumps—with Batte melt pumps as the core component—proves to be a reliable solution for high-speed BOPP biaxial stretching lines. It resolves pressure and gauge issues, maximizes throughput, and cuts waste, aligning with global demands for efficient, sustainable, and high-quality polymer film production.
